WHO WE ARE

Where Fine Woodworking Meets The Art of Wine

The finest wines reveal their character over time. Fine woodworking does the same. Both are shaped by patience, precision, and a deep respect for the craft. Fir Creek Cellars was founded on those same principles—creating one-of-a-kind wine cellars, custom wine displays, and thoughtfully designed wine storage that are as carefully crafted as the wines they are designed to preserve.

No two wine collections are alike, and neither are the spaces created to house them. Every project begins by understanding the collection, the architecture, and the people who will enjoy it. The goal is never simply to build a wine cellar—it’s to create a place where great wines can be protected, appreciated, and shared with family and friends for years to come.

Woodworking has been a lifelong pursuit. Years spent refining traditional techniques taught me that exceptional craftsmanship is found in the smallest details. I don’t build from prefabricated systems or standardized designs. Every project is individually designed and handcrafted using premium hardwoods, traditional joinery, and meticulous attention to detail, creating work that is built to last.

Before founding Fir Creek Cellars, I spent years working as a Cellar Master, playing an active role in producing premium wines. From harvest through fermentation, barrel aging, wine transfers, and cellar operations, I was involved in every stage of the winemaking process. Those years gave me a deep appreciation not only for how exceptional wines are made, but also for the patience, discipline, and care required for them to reach their full potential.

Wine has remained a lifelong passion. As both a collector and enthusiast, I understand that a wine cellar is far more than beautiful cabinetry. It is an environment designed to protect a collection, allowing wines to mature gracefully while enriching the experience of collecting, sharing, and enjoying exceptional wines.

I don’t simply build wine cellars—I build them with the perspective of someone who has helped make the wine they are meant to protect. My experience in both fine woodworking and professional winemaking influences every decision I make, from selecting premium hardwoods to designing spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful.

Recently, I had the privilege of designing and building a custom wine cellar for Oregon winemaker and Bethel Heights Vineyard co-owner Ben Casteel, one of the pioneers of Oregon’s Willamette Valley wine industry. Designing a cellar for someone whose life’s work has helped shape Oregon wine was both an honor and a responsibility. It reinforced my belief that every great wine deserves a space built with the same care, patience, and craftsmanship that went into creating it.

As a fully licensed, bonded, and insured Oregon general contractor, I provide the experience to manage projects professionally from concept through installation. Whether creating a private wine cellar, a custom wine display for a winery, or a commercial wine storage installation, every project receives the same level of care, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.

Inspired by the craft of winemaking. Built with the discipline of fine woodworking. Because the finest wines are meant to be shared, and the spaces that surround them should be just as memorable.
